Reggae artist Smiley teams up with soul songstress Shirma Rouse to warm up the cold winter days with the brand new video clip ‘Is This Real’. The track is taken from Smileys latest album Traffic Light (Love & Unity Music, 2013) and on November 26th the brand new video clip was released
Known for his collaborations with Junior Kelly and Anthony B, his uplifting lyrics and his remarkable stage performance, Smiley gained a lot of popularity by performing on several stages throughout Europe. His debut album Traffic Light got good reviews from online reggae communities in Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and Italy. The first single of the album Sound di Alarm has been in the charts of the main Urban radio station of the Netherlands Fun X for the past eight weeks.
Shirma Rouse is known for her work as a backing vocal for Anouk, Candy Dulfer, Michael Bolton amongst many others.
She has blown away all the jurors during her audition at the recent edition of The Voice of Holland. Shirma is no stranger to reggae music; she toured with the popular Tribute 2 Bob Marley band The Rootsriders in the past.
The video shows two people falling in love with each other to the sweet voices of Smiley and Shirma Rouse. At the same time the two singers fall in love with each other during their performance, but aren't able to be together due to musical commitments.
